WHO ARE WE

PIP Professional Support C.I.C (PIPPS) is a certified social enterprise and registered C.I.C, not for profit organisation, offering affordable online assistance with Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Adult Disability Payment (ADP), Work Capability – Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) and Universal Credit (UC) claims. We have committed to the majority of our profits going into offering free advice and support to those who need it.

PIPP Advocacy LTD (PIPPA) specialises in providing legal support for tribunal appeals for PIP, ADP, ESA, and UC Claims, with all work completion by our legally qualified team members.

One of the ways which we do this, whilst keeping our fees so low, is that we do not offer advice or support by telephone. Claimants can contact us with their questions and queries, by email or through social media.

Several of our team are legally qualified and we are extremely proud that we have a point of difference to other organisations and Law firms – in that almost all of our team have experience of living with or caring for someone with a disability, which means that they understand and empathise with the limitations that living with a disability may cause. You can read more about each of the members of our team here.

In 2018 we were founded after the struggles which disabled people face against the benefits system, became evident to our founder. She felt compelled to offer proactive support to anyone going through the claim or renewal process.

We are professional members of the HD Sunflower and all of our team are Hidden Disability Trained. We are also part of the DWP PIP Stakeholders network and have attended the PIP Forums at Caxton House in London to discuss issues and changes to the criteria for the benefit. Additionally, we attend DWP Digital training sessions so that we keep up-to date with any changes in the application process.
We also have excellent working relationships with IAS (ATOS), who have been to meet with us both remotely and in our offices in Rochdale, CAPITA, who invite us on many of their meetings held by video call through the COVID period and more recently since lockdown ended and we also have a point of contact to liaise with MAXIMUS. We find, by working hard to nurture these working relationships, that we can try to effect real change where it matters.

In 2019, PIPPS was shortlisted from 28,000 nominations down to the final 8 for an ITV News National Diversity Award. We attended the award ceremony held at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. Again, in 2023 we have been nominated for the Community Award for Disability.

We are also proactive members of the Disability Benefits Consortium – where we join over 100 other major groups, charities and organisations we seek to ensure Government policy reflects and meets the needs of all disabled people.

Since 2019 we have been recognised by the DWP as being a Disability Committed Employer and are also accredited members of the Real Living Wage Foundation.

We are fully data protection compliant, are registered with the ICO along with holding both professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

In the past have worked with Bury Pride (Bury MBC) and Bolton Pride (Bolton MBC), attending their events and offering assistance to their patrons. We have also assisted local Labour MP’s with their advice clinics, offering our services and advice to their constituents along with being members of the local ‘Action Together’ group, attending their Economic Support Network in Rochdale and the surrounding areas.

We avidly support Bury Hospice and have supported the Glaston-bury Festival for several years, in 2022 we sponsored a stage at the event at the House of Bridget venue.

During the COVID 19 pandemic, our team dedicated their time to helping key workers and their families with their PIP claims – absolutely free of charge.
In 2020, Tesco Bags of Help awarded us a small grant to help those extremely clinically vulnerable to COVID 19 with their claims.
